I LOVE this game so far and it's no joke, I'm really hooked!! I don't usually comment on Itch.io but I really want to comment my thoughts of this game as it's still in development and I'm quite fond of it now.
I LOVE the premise of the story. Honestly, it made me feel motivated at some point. For context I'm an oc creator and enthusiast myself, and a visual novel about a doctor (artist) seeing her childhood painting filled with the characters they drew really hits home to me. I love how I could relate to mc as we both make art and ocs(?) and express creativity through art but may have to give up the dream of being an artist for reasons, the MC for their parents' approval while for me my stability in adulthood and finance. It's a tough road for both of us, but the thing I couldn't do that they can is get transported into a world they created so long ago. I guess living through their lense is quite therapeutic (Maybe not so much as her original fairy characters seem very...murder-y.)
Even so, I still love the characters, art, music, and vibe of it!! The characters are very distinct and unique in vibe and personality, something I really like. I also love cgs and the sprites so shoutout to the amazing artists who drew them!! 💕 The music and vibe is also amazing, the shifts from serene the eerie, I love it.
Side note, personally, I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS I REALLY DO 💕 💕 But maybe my top favs are Shyloh, Helios, and Rosario. Shyloh's such a monochrome cutie and has the MC's best interests with genuine care for them 🖤 Helios is so ethereal and angelic even when he doesn't seem to be. I LOVE the character trope where a character is white and golden colored and angelic themed when they aren't really angelic on the inside 💛 For Rosario, I LOVE feminine and beautiful men. Maybe it's my love for Vil Schoenheit from Twisted Wonderland showing but I really like the beautiful and confident male type characters 🩷
I currently don't have much criticisms asides from the fact that I would really love to see more MC customization options in future updates. Don't get me wrong!! The current customization options are AMAZING and very inclusive right now. But I guess it's just my inner love for games with character customization in me 💕
I think I'm rambling at this point but I'm really looking forward to the next update for this game. I wish there was a community space/area for this game so I could be part of it. I would really love to see this visual novel grow!! I also hope that in the future, I could submit fan art?? I've been liking the designs so far so I'd love to draw some fan art and show it!! 💕 I've been drawing the Chromatic Agape characters interacting with my own ocs as to practice my art skills for better art quality along the way so I hope to deliver quality fan art very soon!!
Sorry if it's such a very self indulgent and unnecessarily long rant about this game, I'm just really intrigued and interested in the game as I kind of resonate with it in a sense. Hope to see more updates 💕

At first, when I was reading the description of the game, Yulen's looks caught my attention more than anyone else (I really like tough looking characters xD), and upon playing the demo I found myself also enjoying his personality a lot!
The writing is something I enjoyed a lot, it kept me hooked and even if he can be a meanie (Or more than that lmao) I want to know more about him!
The cast's personalities and dynamics are really interesting and the fact that you can understand a bit even from the demo alone talks a lot about how good the storytelling is!

I've got not enough words nor enough adjetives to describe how much I absolutely hate every single one of them except Kai and Shyloh, I love them both.

It got to a level I had to call my friend and tell him every single detail about how absolutely outraged I was the moment I realized Rosario was pretending to be Shyloh because of the way he talked, I really did told him the whole story, it's very rare for a Vs to get me this emotional lol, so you definitely did a great job writing that part, I loved the history, although I wished we had more information about the world we're now in.
Anyways, Kai and Shyloh are both now my babygirls, I have nothing appropiate to say about both of them, I know Shyloh is a morally gray character overall, but I can't help but like him better than the others. But fr tho, I loved the artstyle, the plot, the music and specially the character customization, I know that this is probably the least of the things you all will work on but I would love if you implemented more hairstyles.
Honestly I haven´t gotten all of the endings but I sure will do time to finish it (so my current opinion about the characters may change, for the best or for the worst), being also a med student makes me sympathize with the main character a lot more, given the ethic conflict they have about not wanting to harm the others, that also makes me have little to no free time lol, but I will absoutely make time to finish all of the other routes, I loved this so so much, I can't wait to play the full game, ofc make time for yourselves too, wouldn't want an amazing creator to tire themselves out, I'll rate this right away.

Hi, lovely game though, Is it possible for there to be more skin tones and hair options? The darkest shade is a pale gray-brown. I think Adonis's shade with a touch of saturation, similar to the iconic Anok Yai's skintone would be good for the darkest. It'd be great if there were braids and or loc options, and wavy hair. ^.^''

However, it’s currently on the backburner since we’re focusing on finishing up the game. Since this was originally a volunteer jam project, adding extra options isn’t super feasible at the moment :(( but we’ll definitely keep your adorable suggestions in mind for the future!

Ah, I’m really sorry to hear you’re having trouble! You’re actually one of the only three people who’ve reported this issue so far.
One player managed to fix it by using a different device (they tried a Steam Deck, and the scene progressed fine after that). I’m having another programmer take a look at it right now, but it seems like it might be something on your side since the number of people experiencing this is really low.
Could you let me know what device you’re using? And if you happen to remember, could you tell me the specific line or moment when the crash happened? That info would help a lot in figuring this out! (｡•́︿•̀｡) Thank you so much for your patience ^^
I'm using a Lenovo notebook, mine came with a quite fucked up processor so I thought the problem would be with it too, but since all my other apps were working normally I found it weird :_>
The image froze when merka says: "And I'd rather be by his side before the spineless vilain fills his-" I can hear the sound when I move the cursor over the option to skip, configure or go to automatic mode. I assume that everything works normally, only the image freezes :>

Choose Option 2 (side with the heroes), and you’ll get another choice within that branch:
Trust the pixies = Common Ending 1
Don’t trust the pixies = Common Ending 2
If you pick Option 1 (confront the villain) or Option 3 (go ahead on your own), you’ll reach the non-ending ending—meaning the demo ends, but it’s not an actual ending.

My most favorite part about this is practically how unhinged it all is — it doesn’t hold down, hold back or push down how bad these pixies can be in treating MC. I’m a bit nostalgic of a certain game that started as something darker and then it all became so much soft, but this, this is awesome.
I won’t be peaking at the triggers because I want to be surprised, hehe.
ALSO I LOVE LOVE how Shyloh does not hold back either. He may not ever hurt MC, ever, but he does kind of give the vibes like ‘I know what’s best for you’ chains you down, especially with those two final lines of his in the game, ahem, close ur eyes or he’ll close em himself? Is that a threattt..

I’ve always had a soft spot for horror romance and yandere themes, but I noticed that a lot of games in that genre mix horror with a rom-com feel (which is totally valid, just not the vibe I was going for). So, I really wanted to explore the deeper, more unsettling dynamics, like characters unintentionally hurting each other or being forced into situations where affection is twisted, uncomfortable, or even violent.
There’s something so raw and captivating about that kind of “no other way but to go along with it” vibe. I wanted to show that not everything in relationships is neat or pretty, and the messier, more complicated side of things (especially the character growth in the midst of that) is where the real depth is. I’m glad to hear that part stood out for you!
And Shyloh— oh, my sweet baby boy >~< He’s never going to be violent towards Sev, but man, he does know how to dish out a beatdown when he’s pushed to his limit. He’s definitely the “you-can’t-help-but-love-him” type of character even with all his darker tendencies.
As for the rest of the cast, hold onto your heart! It’s going to get real rough for some of them, and there are moments that may make it hard to forgive them for what they do. But I truly hope, as you continue through the game, you’ll see the deeper layers to each of them and continue to love them (in all their messed-up glory) as the story progresses.

TALK ABOUT THE IMPROVED QUALITY!!
code wise, i like this new one better, esp during multiple options like room exploring. how the option disappears after you click on it and the finish option appears once you're done with them all. a small thing but i like it :D also other comments reminded me abt this but i don't think i commented on it in my last review but i like the art style so much! the customization is a banger! so much inclusivity! i'm sure it's a lot of work to make/code so thank you sm, i truly appreciate it :)))
i've noticed some added options like the weapons, and while it doesn't affect the story, it really gives a clear heads up about mc's ability, how they can create stuff out of thin air as long as they were familiar with it. makes so much more sense to her to think of- let's say- a gun as a weapon instead of a scalpel.
the characters improved 10x!! i can't believe i don't hate helios as much now. he truly sounds like a fairytale hero group leader who wants to take down the bad guy instead of being a condescending ass to his enemy in a 6v1 encounter. how he treated kai also feels different. idk how to explain it but kai who i used to see as being kind of isolated and straight-up bullied in his group now feels like he was isolated but subtly and for a reason. my dislike of the heroes went down dramatically and it feels good!!
mc's behavior towards them makes so much more sense here compared to the previous demo (at least based on my choices). they are naive, curious, confused, and in a strange place. but they still retain their heart of gold by being concerned about strangers and get fascinated by wings!!. such a cutie i hope they obliterate the pixies soon. GET THEIR ASS MC!! (it's becoming a love-hate relationship with them i'm so fr.)
ALSO can i just leave a small comment on merka bcs you'd think he'd be the most "idgaf if you're in pain, i WILL inflict it on you" but he's actually the only one concerned for mc (in a fucked up way bcs he thought "break their legs, don't beat them up that's too painful") and its kinda sweet LMAO. him being yandere-tsundere... i can't unsee it.
AND KAI BEING A SECOND FAV IS AT IT AGAIN BY BLOCKING THE ATTACK!! he lessened mc's pain and shut it away... like ok yes he's suspicious but first impressions are sooo important here 😆
AND!! SHYLOH!! I WILL NEEEVER FORGET ABOUT HIM. MY CUTIE PATOOTIE MY SCRUMPTIOUS LUMPTIOUS POOKIE BEAR, I MISS HIM. i came across this game a few months ago, but forgot to save it and it was only a stroke of luck that i found it again today. immediately bought it and i'm already hooked. i remember when i first came across the game i thought you could only play as a female character, but finding the page again i realize you could choose the gender and pronouns, as well as body type, and was so thrilled. thank you for the inclusion!
the story is really interesting to me, and i cannot wait to see where it goes, as well as the chance to learn more about the characters. i've got my faves out of the bunch already, but all of them have me intrigued! also, fingers crossed for the flamethrower option to work one day haha

Well, a flamethrower for Yulen, isn’t that obvious ? Please, his whole shtick is built around fire and everything associated with it. So burning, passion, everything extreme. The flames suits his aggression problems
A taser for Helios. A weapon that jolts the victims and paralyze them. Such a fitting weapon for Helios. Foreshadowing of his future treatment of us probably
A camouflage knife. Sneaky, hidden, got camouflage in its name. Works for the brat green pixie
A gun, boom, dead. Everything about Kai is about death. No matter one of the most deadly weapon ever is associated to a guy like him. « A single pull of a trigger » as the script says
A spiked whip. I peeped the BDSM elements tw in Adonis’ list OFC a spiked whip would be associated with him. That aside, the whip can be deadly but across history it was mostly used as punishment and torture without killing, unlike idk a sword or a gun. Since it’s used as punishment, it’s tied with humiliation to. Humiliation of the body and the soul
Tactical baton : uhh uhhhhh phallic symbol ? More seriously, I think a tactical baton, like a whip, is mostly used for punishment, and since it’s wildly used by policemen and soldiers, to make victims comply. It’s certainly less deadly than a whip and could be used as defense, as Sev thought of doing.
So the difference between the whip and the technical baton is punish vs make comply
Weaponry aside. I always wondered what’s Merka’s deal with Rosario. What kind of spell did Rosario cast on him to make him so, uhm, complying. I mean, as soon as Rosario gets a little stern with Merka he gets immediately silent. WHATS GOING ON

I think I’ve only had one other person mention this problem, and when they tried it on Steam Deck, it worked fine. So my current guess is that maybe the picture quality is overwhelming the PC.

it always freeze when they say something about arua but then it cuts off and says program not responding i tried deleting and redownloading it multiple times and no i don't really have anything else that wIll work for this game T^T

The game is available on PC (Windows and Linux), macOS, and Android. If you don’t have access to the other platforms, you could try using an Android emulator like BlueStacks to run the Android version on your PC. Only Rosario and Shyloh will have sex scenes, mainly because this started as a free jam game, and we just didn’t have the time, energy, or resources to add full scenes for the others. Rosario, being the pixie of lust, was a no-brainer, and Shyloh, as the main LI + fan favorite naturally stands apart.
That said, I’ve definitely daydreamed about writing some kind of IF (interactive fiction) type smut for the rest of them in the future (because let’s be real, Helios deserves a scene where you put him in his place LOL), so who knows? Maybe one day! But for now, it’s just these two.

So Shyloh was never named huh? I thought he was only labelled as ‘Nameless pixie’ because we never cared to ask. I guess that means in later routes we will give him one! Apparently when I searched, his name connects to “peace” (Dear heavens, I hope so Shyloh, I hope so… insert nervous eyeing at the trigger list)
I also noticed the bell ringing featured which I assume is from Kai? Is there any significance to it? Considering Sev was a bit disturbed by the sound… Although, buddhist bells mostly resonate with trying to bring peace to the mind, a bit ironic.

I wonder, is this what happens if they take any sort of critical damage? I like how it looks tho, since they are made of essence, I sort of imagined they would kinda ‘distort’ in that manner when they get full on slaughtered. It’s a nice touch! But at the same time, nightmare fuel from those faces. 😖

Hehe, yeah, Shyloh was never actually named, and this is definitely gonna play a role in his route later on (and in the second half of the prologue where you finally name him). I mean, not only did you leave him half-sketched, but you didn’t even give him a name… poor baby, neglected already T~T And yup, his name connects to “peace,” but fun fact, it also means God’s gift! Definitely side-eyeing Sev over here ;;
I originally planned to let players choose Shyloh’s name, but after thinking about it more, I realized it might lose some of the significance. There’s something very important about his name, and I didn’t want to take away from that by making it fully customizable.
As for the bell ringing… Good catch! You’re right, it’s connected to Kai, and there’s definitely significance to it. Keep an ear out for it, it’s a detail that’ll matter later on~
Now, Adonis… I was actually planning on including his face damage in the previous demo, but we were rushing to submit the game to the jam, so it got pushed aside. The Naomidi is what gives him that distorted look. Each character has their own version of it (think psycho faces), and Adonis here just got really psycho with it (since he literally got blinded lol). Hope you liked the jump scare— I definitely poured my heart and soul into that moment haha
As for the weapon choices, I don’t know if you remember, but in the first demo, we didn’t have that choice, and I saw a YouTube playthrough where people were like, “Why didn’t Sev just conjure a flamethrower?” So, I added the choice as a way to show that it wasn’t possible narratively (Sev has to have a connection with said object), and also as a fun nod to those creative ideas. It’s kind of an illusionary choice— it mostly affects dialogue variations (and it will affect some character routes later on).
And about the bug you mentioned— if you were loading from a save file from the previous demo, that could be the issue! Since the new patch had a major overhaul, older save files may not work properly. If you can try starting from a fresh save and see if the issue persists, that would be super helpful! But definitely feel free to fill out the report form with more details, and I’ll look into it.
I've never commented before but i will now cause I KNEW IT!! I knew they were playing me, i was yelling at my PC screen like "That's not how edgy villain pixie acts! That's Rosario!" Anyways. Ehem. I've loved this demo so far, even painted my nails the respective colours of each sin (including a white-grey for our MC, hehe) I can't wait to see more of this!!! You can play as a female— the MC’s gender and sex are fully customizable, along with their appearance! The reason the description says “A Horror Otome/BL” is because of that flexibility. But yep, you can choose your preferences, as mentioned in the game page description.
Played the demo a couple times and decided to comment. I gotta say I very much love the game, the concept of the sins and tying the different types of love to each.
Gotta say the painting, before going into the world of pixies, was genuinely nerve-wracking. Just the single pixie staring at the screen made me think the others would in turn also look back as well [but guessing only him meant his way to pulling the player in]
Intial appearances of the pixies, Merka made me go 'awww' with how cute he was. Course that opinion changed when nearing the end of the demo [still cute though damn him] Though have the admit that Kai stole me away with his appearance being drop-dead gorgeous esp. his tattoo and outfit. I am bit sucker for the sin of Sloth, but when looking as his triggers has me bit excited for his route.
Moving randomly from that the scene revealing the looks of the pixies just horrifying and kept my eyes glued to the screen. It also unnerved me but that probably reaction one might have realizing these pixies aren't sane [though now noticing Kai is not apart of it so curious sounds] When it came to the weapon scene [reading the patch log] understandable why the player couldn't summon a different weapon. As it'd be easier to make something that's been seen before [ex. being the scapel since probably used scapels alot so they'd know what it's like]
Also hot damn Adonis's face as he gets stabbed TERRIFYING and when replaying I prayed to shank him again [can only wonder if something similar happens to the others when they get injured by the player] though when playing it again now thinking it's hard to tell his eye got slashed, but at the same time probably doesn't matter when his face is distorted with nightmare fuel
Overall I am excited to see all the different routes [who doesn't love a yandere? esp. multiple yanderes] and all the different things that will be in the full game.

His tattoos are actually a sneaky little Easter egg hidden there for his route— if you figure it out, you’re in for a treat! Another player here, Jasmine, already did a deep dive into his design, but if you want to avoid spoilers, just keep an eye on his earrings, outfit, and tattoos. They’re all little clues! (*≧ω≦)
ALSO, I’m so happy to hear the pixies creeped you out— yandere vibes are definitely my jam, and every time I play one, I always think, “How much more unhinged can I make this?!” So, for CA, I was like, let’s go all out with the psycho expressions XD
As for whether they’ll experience the same expression change as Adonis… well, that’s a bit of a spoiler hehe! But I will say, Sev will definitely have to get creative if they’re gonna fall for the same tricks again. I’m so curious to hear your thoughts— which pixie do you think will give Sev the highest odds of survival? And how do you think that’s gonna go down? :D

For the current demo, there are only two common endings! Here’s how to get them:

When you reach the three options:
I want to confront the villain
I want to side with the heroes
I want to go ahead on my own
Choose Option 2 (side with the heroes), and you’ll get another choice within that branch:
Trust the pixies = Common Ending 1
Don’t trust the pixies = Common Ending 2
If you pick Option 1 (confront the villain) or Option 3 (go ahead on your own), you’ll reach the non-ending ending—meaning the demo ends, but it’s not an actual ending.

Before right now I thought that to get the good ending you just had to constantly be defiant against the pixies during the jumping(so, choose threaten not plead. Try to escape not stay still)
But also wow that makes Shyloh look bad ☠️ Sev didn’t make the choices he wanted so now he’s not saving her. Good luck with her torn arm, or that one humiliating thing that’s gonna happen to her. Depends on the endings
But yeah, the choices you mentioned are all for building up points with the pixies! For example, in the scene with Yulen and Merka, picking “Threaten them” vs. “Stay Silent” determines who you gain points with— one choice favors Yulen, the other favors Merka.
Otherwise, Shyloh would be hogging all the point opportunities XD Gotta keep things balanced!

Well respect or not Sev ended up dead boooh. And I think Shyloh’s unwillingness to save her was more than due to respect of her choices. I think deep inside he was wounded by the fact she chose the pixies so he was just like « well then, she will just see for herself ». But that would be too much of an outrage against his object of worship … or maybe he just got a different view of worship than some people ?
For Shyloh, worship isn’t as simple as it seems. It’s this complicated mix of admiration, attachment, and maybe even a bit of resentment, which puts him in this weird space where his feelings start to clash with what he thinks he should do and what he wants to do.
For example, when Sev shows interest in Helios being a pixie, Shyloh offers her his wings, like he’s willing to give her whatever she desires, to show his devotion. But here’s the catch, he leaves the choice completely up to her.
Yet, when she doesn’t immediately choose him, that’s when things get messy. He ends up choking Helios, as if to physically manifest his frustration. It’s like a twisted tug-of-war between his need to respect Sev’s choice and the raw sting of feeling abandoned or rejected.
Oh, extra note: there’s a small dialogue variation depending on whether you choose to confront Shyloh or go solo. It comes up after Kai interrupts the fight, so if you missed it, definitely check it out!
NOW THAT I FINISHED THE GAME NEW VERSION TIME FOR MY THOUGHTS
So wow … you rlly didn’t exaggerate when you said it will feel like a whole new game. It was a real pleasure going through the revamped dialogues. The demo was already great and it got better.
First I’m a big fan of the new parents theme music, those discordant bells really hit the spot. And the new sfx, camera movements, backgrounds etc etc rlly felt like the game became more immersive in a sense. Could almost feel some pain every time Sev got hurt ☠️
The best change for me was probably Kai vs Helios. The passive aggression … chiefs kiss. In a sense it hurts more than when Helios was more outwardly aggressive.
Also what’s up with Adonis face ? Damn hallucinations … On an another note I really liked the inclusion of that ugly face. Really inspiring
YAAAY, I’m so happy you enjoyed the changes, Jasmine! It seriously means so much coming from you! I kept thinking to myself, “Jasmine already liked the demo so much, how do I make it even better?” The bar was set pretty high, but I’m so relieved we managed to jump over it successfully! (灬^‿^灬)♡
Going through the script again and redoing the parts that fans mentioned needed more work really paid off! The programming (not gonna lie, the pixie entry scene took me a whole day to get just right, haha) made me realize just how much room there is for improvement (just like with any project, right? ;)
For the full release, I think I’ll probably be handling the programming myself since I’m not sure I can fully trust anyone else with it just yet ;;
And oh my gosh, Kai and Helios totally got the “glow-up” they deserved! (｡♥‿♥｡) I just had to make Helios more likable, hehe. I’m a total sucker for him (writer’s bias for sure). Did you notice how much screentime he got? XD

I was definitely feeling a bit insecure about whether people would be looking forward to this patch (so far, in terms of votes/comments, there hasn’t been much of a reaction, which does affect the clickthrough rate of the game T~T), but I’m honestly so relieved to know that it’s a demo I can be proud of now!
Yes I’m so serious the new patch really felt like rediscovering the game for me and I’ll replay of course to see if I missed anything, because God knows I probably missed some things.
It was probably a lot of work for you but you truly did a great job on the programming, as I said the whole gaming experience seems intensified x10. And the group pic was reaaally crisp and neat. Could almost see the pores on their 2D pixel skin. That was a job well done
And omg yesss I noticed the amount of his screentime, definitely satisfied the Helios fan in me. I just cant get enough of his arrogant attitude. And the passive aggressiveness only intensified the sentiment of superiority that oozes of him.

I cannot BELIEVE how you were able to compile all of the feedback you received from your fans and implement it all in a way that was SO seamless! You somehow managed to make all of the necessary changes concisely and thoughtfully without compromising any part of the game; from its unique atmosphere to its intriguing characters. You also added some much needed clarity to several story elements of the game while still maintaining its mysteries. I'm even more invested now than I was before and I simply cannot wait to see what comes next!!!

There was SO much rearranging, keeping the OG code in mind, and making sure it didn’t mess up the storyline or choices— basically a million little things to juggle! But reading your comment just made all that effort feel worth it.
And AHHH, it’s so amazing to see one of the OG feedback givers here! You were one of the first to comment post-patch, and honestly, I was SUPER nervous that I didn’t hit the mark since I hadn’t heard from the others (still haven't T~T).

i'm not sure if it is just me but first meeting the heroes the text background vanishes wich make it impossible to properly read. And some of the sprites don't appear in time? Good work otherwise.

As for new patch content, I really wanted to add the rest of the prologue (it’s chilling in my Google Doc at around 25-30k words rn) But I wasn’t sure if people would even be interested.

As for extra content in the patch, I wasn’t sure if I should add more since I wanted to gauge the reaction to the patch first. Just general game dev worries, haha. (￣▽￣*) But this was also a way for me to see if I’m heading in the right direction with coding the script myself!

FWIW, Best advice I ever got was that no matter how long your to-do list looks, you're only working on one at a time. So work on that one thing. Give it your full focus. And when that one is done (or you've done as much as you can for the day), you can work on another "one thing." The goal is to keep your brain in a chilled out mood by refusing to overwhelm it with a bunch of tasks. Like your stomach only gets food one bite at a time, your brain gets shit done one thought at a time and one action at a time. That's been my mantra for the last few years, especially when life gets overwhelming. "Just one thing, just this one thing." That approach has made a huge difference in lowering my stress. Maybe it will help you out, too.

I don't usually comment on games but this game has me absolutely enchanted.
This game is going beautifully. I've fallen in love with the plot and the characters. I love the diversity and uniqueness of each character, the character customization, and the trigger settings.
Anyways, going to try out every option known to man now, wouldn't want to miss anything.

I LOVE this game so far and it's no joke, I'm really hooked!! I don't usually comment on Itch.io but I really want to comment my thoughts of this game as it's still in development and I'm quite fond of it now.
I LOVE the premise of the story. Honestly, it made me feel motivated at some point. For context I'm an oc creator and enthusiast myself, and a visual novel about a doctor (artist) seeing her childhood painting filled with the characters they drew really hits home to me. I love how I could relate to mc as we both make art and ocs(?) and express creativity through art but may have to give up the dream of being an artist for reasons, the MC for their parents' approval while for me my stability in adulthood and finance. It's a tough road for both of us, but the thing I couldn't do that they can is get transported into a world they created so long ago. I guess living through their lense is quite therapeutic (Maybe not so much as her original fairy characters seem very...murder-y.)
Even so, I still love the characters, art, music, and vibe of it!! The characters are very distinct and unique in vibe and personality, something I really like. I also love cgs and the sprites so shoutout to the amazing artists who drew them!! 💕 The music and vibe is also amazing, the shifts from serene the eerie, I love it.
Side note, personally, I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS I REALLY DO 💕 💕 But maybe my top favs are Shyloh, Helios, and Rosario. Shyloh's such a monochrome cutie and has the MC's best interests with genuine care for them 🖤 Helios is so ethereal and angelic even when he doesn't seem to be. I LOVE the character trope where a character is white and golden colored and angelic themed when they aren't really angelic on the inside 💛 For Rosario, I LOVE feminine and beautiful men. Maybe it's my love for Vil Schoenheit from Twisted Wonderland showing but I really like the beautiful and confident male type characters 🩷
I currently don't have much criticisms asides from the fact that I would really love to see more MC customization options in future updates. Don't get me wrong!! The current customization options are AMAZING and very inclusive right now. But I guess it's just my inner love for games with character customization in me 💕
I think I'm rambling at this point but I'm really looking forward to the next update for this game. I wish there was a community space/area for this game so I could be part of it. I would really love to see this visual novel grow!! I also hope that in the future, I could submit fan art?? I've been liking the designs so far so I'd love to draw some fan art and show it!! 💕 I've been drawing the Chromatic Agape characters interacting with my own ocs as to practice my art skills for better art quality along the way so I hope to deliver quality fan art very soon!!
Sorry if it's such a very self indulgent and unnecessarily long rant about this game, I'm just really intrigued and interested in the game as I kind of resonate with it in a sense. Hope to see more updates 💕

At first, when I was reading the description of the game, Yulen's looks caught my attention more than anyone else (I really like tough looking characters xD), and upon playing the demo I found myself also enjoying his personality a lot!
The writing is something I enjoyed a lot, it kept me hooked and even if he can be a meanie (Or more than that lmao) I want to know more about him!
The cast's personalities and dynamics are really interesting and the fact that you can understand a bit even from the demo alone talks a lot about how good the storytelling is!

I've got not enough words nor enough adjetives to describe how much I absolutely hate every single one of them except Kai and Shyloh, I love them both.

It got to a level I had to call my friend and tell him every single detail about how absolutely outraged I was the moment I realized Rosario was pretending to be Shyloh because of the way he talked, I really did told him the whole story, it's very rare for a Vs to get me this emotional lol, so you definitely did a great job writing that part, I loved the history, although I wished we had more information about the world we're now in.
Anyways, Kai and Shyloh are both now my babygirls, I have nothing appropiate to say about both of them, I know Shyloh is a morally gray character overall, but I can't help but like him better than the others. But fr tho, I loved the artstyle, the plot, the music and specially the character customization, I know that this is probably the least of the things you all will work on but I would love if you implemented more hairstyles.
Honestly I haven´t gotten all of the endings but I sure will do time to finish it (so my current opinion about the characters may change, for the best or for the worst), being also a med student makes me sympathize with the main character a lot more, given the ethic conflict they have about not wanting to harm the others, that also makes me have little to no free time lol, but I will absoutely make time to finish all of the other routes, I loved this so so much, I can't wait to play the full game, ofc make time for yourselves too, wouldn't want an amazing creator to tire themselves out, I'll rate this right away.

Hi, lovely game though, Is it possible for there to be more skin tones and hair options? The darkest shade is a pale gray-brown. I think Adonis's shade with a touch of saturation, similar to the iconic Anok Yai's skintone would be good for the darkest. It'd be great if there were braids and or loc options, and wavy hair. ^.^''

However, it’s currently on the backburner since we’re focusing on finishing up the game. Since this was originally a volunteer jam project, adding extra options isn’t super feasible at the moment :(( but we’ll definitely keep your adorable suggestions in mind for the future!

Ah, I’m really sorry to hear you’re having trouble! You’re actually one of the only three people who’ve reported this issue so far.
One player managed to fix it by using a different device (they tried a Steam Deck, and the scene progressed fine after that). I’m having another programmer take a look at it right now, but it seems like it might be something on your side since the number of people experiencing this is really low.

I'm using a Lenovo notebook, mine came with a quite fucked up processor so I thought the problem would be with it too, but since all my other apps were working normally I found it weird :_>

My most favorite part about this is practically how unhinged it all is — it doesn’t hold down, hold back or push down how bad these pixies can be in treating MC. I’m a bit nostalgic of a certain game that started as something darker and then it all became so much soft, but this, this is awesome.
I won’t be peaking at the triggers because I want to be surprised, hehe.
ALSO I LOVE LOVE how Shyloh does not hold back either. He may not ever hurt MC, ever, but he does kind of give the vibes like ‘I know what’s best for you’ chains you down, especially with those two final lines of his in the game, ahem, close ur eyes or he’ll close em himself? Is that a threattt..

I’ve always had a soft spot for horror romance and yandere themes, but I noticed that a lot of games in that genre mix horror with a rom-com feel (which is totally valid, just not the vibe I was going for). So, I really wanted to explore the deeper, more unsettling dynamics, like characters unintentionally hurting each other or being forced into situations where affection is twisted, uncomfortable, or even violent.
There’s something so raw and captivating about that kind of “no other way but to go along with it” vibe. I wanted to show that not everything in relationships is neat or pretty, and the messier, more complicated side of things (especially the character growth in the midst of that) is where the real depth is. I’m glad to hear that part stood out for you!
And Shyloh— oh, my sweet baby boy >~< He’s never going to be violent towards Sev, but man, he does know how to dish out a beatdown when he’s pushed to his limit. He’s definitely the “you-can’t-help-but-love-him” type of character even with all his darker tendencies.
As for the rest of the cast, hold onto your heart! It’s going to get real rough for some of them, and there are moments that may make it hard to forgive them for what they do. But I truly hope, as you continue through the game, you’ll see the deeper layers to each of them and continue to love them (in all their messed-up glory) as the story progresses.

TALK ABOUT THE IMPROVED QUALITY!!
code wise, i like this new one better, esp during multiple options like room exploring. how the option disappears after you click on it and the finish option appears once you're done with them all. a small thing but i like it :D also other comments reminded me abt this but i don't think i commented on it in my last review but i like the art style so much! the customization is a banger! so much inclusivity! i'm sure it's a lot of work to make/code so thank you sm, i truly appreciate it :)))
i've noticed some added options like the weapons, and while it doesn't affect the story, it really gives a clear heads up about mc's ability, how they can create stuff out of thin air as long as they were familiar with it. makes so much more sense to her to think of- let's say- a gun as a weapon instead of a scalpel.
the characters improved 10x!! i can't believe i don't hate helios as much now. he truly sounds like a fairytale hero group leader who wants to take down the bad guy instead of being a condescending ass to his enemy in a 6v1 encounter. how he treated kai also feels different. idk how to explain it but kai who i used to see as being kind of isolated and straight-up bullied in his group now feels like he was isolated but subtly and for a reason. my dislike of the heroes went down dramatically and it feels good!!
mc's behavior towards them makes so much more sense here compared to the previous demo (at least based on my choices). they are naive, curious, confused, and in a strange place. but they still retain their heart of gold by being concerned about strangers and get fascinated by wings!!. such a cutie i hope they obliterate the pixies soon. GET THEIR ASS MC!! (it's becoming a love-hate relationship with them i'm so fr.)
ALSO can i just leave a small comment on merka bcs you'd think he'd be the most "idgaf if you're in pain, i WILL inflict it on you" but he's actually the only one concerned for mc (in a fucked up way bcs he thought "break their legs, don't beat them up that's too painful") and its kinda sweet LMAO. him being yandere-tsundere... i can't unsee it.
AND KAI BEING A SECOND FAV IS AT IT AGAIN BY BLOCKING THE ATTACK!! he lessened mc's pain and shut it away... like ok yes he's suspicious but first impressions are sooo important here 😆
AND!! SHYLOH!! I WILL NEEEVER FORGET ABOUT HIM. MY CUTIE PATOOTIE MY SCRUMPTIOUS LUMPTIOUS POOKIE BEAR, I MISS HIM. i came across this game a few months ago, but forgot to save it and it was only a stroke of luck that i found it again today. immediately bought it and i'm already hooked. i remember when i first came across the game i thought you could only play as a female character, but finding the page again i realize you could choose the gender and pronouns, as well as body type, and was so thrilled. thank you for the inclusion!

A spiked whip. I peeped the BDSM elements tw in Adonis’ list OFC a spiked whip would be associated with him. That aside, the whip can be deadly but across history it was mostly used as punishment and torture without killing, unlike idk a sword or a gun. Tactical baton : uhh uhhhhh phallic symbol ? More seriously, I think a tactical baton, like a whip, is mostly used for punishment, and since it’s wildly used by policemen and soldiers, to make victims comply. I think I’ve only had one other person mention this problem, and when they tried it on Steam Deck, it worked fine. So my current guess is that maybe the picture quality is overwhelming the PC.

The game is available on PC (Windows and Linux), macOS, and Android. If you don’t have access to the other platforms, you could try using an Android emulator like BlueStacks to run the Android version on your PC. Only Rosario and Shyloh will have sex scenes, mainly because this started as a free jam game, and we just didn’t have the time, energy, or resources to add full scenes for the others. Rosario, being the pixie of lust, was a no-brainer, and Shyloh, as the main LI + fan favorite naturally stands apart.
That said, I’ve definitely daydreamed about writing some kind of IF (interactive fiction) type smut for the rest of them in the future (because let’s be real, Helios deserves a scene where you put him in his place LOL), so who knows? Maybe one day! But for now, it’s just these two.

So Shyloh was never named huh? I thought he was only labelled as ‘Nameless pixie’ because we never cared to ask. I guess that means in later routes we will give him one! Apparently when I searched, his name connects to “peace” (Dear heavens, I hope so Shyloh, I hope so… insert nervous eyeing at the trigger list)
I also noticed the bell ringing featured which I assume is from Kai? Is there any significance to it? Considering Sev was a bit disturbed by the sound… Although, buddhist bells mostly resonate with trying to bring peace to the mind, a bit ironic.
Also- ADONIS HOLY SHIT DUDE. I didn’t think it would be that BAD. I only scraped off your eye, what happened to the rest of your face?😭 I wonder, is this what happens if they take any sort of critical damage? I like how it looks tho, since they are made of essence, I sort of imagined they would kinda ‘distort’ in that manner when they get full on slaughtered. It’s a nice touch! But at the same time, nightmare fuel from those faces. 😖 It scares me tho how chill the rest are even with THIS. Youre telling me your friends face torn off isn’t a concern? I originally planned to let players choose Shyloh’s name, but after thinking about it more, I realized it might lose some of the significance. There’s something very important about his name, and I didn’t want to take away from that by making it fully customizable.

Now, Adonis… I was actually planning on including his face damage in the previous demo, but we were rushing to submit the game to the jam, so it got pushed aside. The Naomidi is what gives him that distorted look. Each character has their own version of it (think psycho faces), and Adonis here just got really psycho with it (since he literally got blinded lol). Hope you liked the jump scare— I definitely poured my heart and soul into that moment haha
As for the weapon choices, I don’t know if you remember, but in the first demo, we didn’t have that choice, and I saw a YouTube playthrough where people were like, “Why didn’t Sev just conjure a flamethrower?” So, I added the choice as a way to show that it wasn’t possible narratively (Sev has to have a connection with said object), and also as a fun nod to those creative ideas. It’s kind of an illusionary choice— it mostly affects dialogue variations (and it will affect some character routes later on).
And about the bug you mentioned— if you were loading from a save file from the previous demo, that could be the issue! Since the new patch had a major overhaul, older save files may not work properly. If you can try starting from a fresh save and see if the issue persists, that would be super helpful! But definitely feel free to fill out the report form with more details, and I’ll look into it.

"BL" means it's for the male audience, isn't it?
You can play as a female— the MC’s gender and sex are fully customizable, along with their appearance! The reason the description says “A Horror Otome/BL” is because of that flexibility. But yep, you can choose your preferences, as mentioned in the game page description.

Played the demo a couple times and decided to comment. I gotta say I very much love the game, the concept of the sins and tying the different types of love to each.
Gotta say the painting, before going into the world of pixies, was genuinely nerve-wracking. Just the single pixie staring at the screen made me think the others would in turn also look back as well [but guessing only him meant his way to pulling the player in]
Intial appearances of the pixies, Merka made me go 'awww' with how cute he was. Course that opinion changed when nearing the end of the demo [still cute though damn him] Though have the admit that Kai stole me away with his appearance being drop-dead gorgeous esp. his tattoo and outfit. I am bit sucker for the sin of Sloth, but when looking as his triggers has me bit excited for his route.
Moving randomly from that the scene revealing the looks of the pixies just horrifying and kept my eyes glued to the screen. It also unnerved me but that probably reaction one might have realizing these pixies aren't sane [though now noticing Kai is not apart of it so curious sounds] When it came to the weapon scene [reading the patch log] understandable why the player couldn't summon a different weapon. As it'd be easier to make something that's been seen before [ex. being the scapel since probably used scapels alot so they'd know what it's like]
Also hot damn Adonis's face as he gets stabbed TERRIFYING and when replaying I prayed to shank him again [can only wonder if something similar happens to the others when they get injured by the player] though when playing it again now thinking it's hard to tell his eye got slashed, but at the same time probably doesn't matter when his face is distorted with nightmare fuel
Overall I am excited to see all the different routes [who doesn't love a yandere? esp. multiple yanderes] and all the different things that will be in the full game.

His tattoos are actually a sneaky little Easter egg hidden there for his route— if you figure it out, you’re in for a treat! Another player here, Jasmine, already did a deep dive into his design, but if you want to avoid spoilers, just keep an eye on his earrings, outfit, and tattoos. They’re all little clues! (*≧ω≦)
ALSO, I’m so happy to hear the pixies creeped you out— yandere vibes are definitely my jam, and every time I play one, I always think, “How much more unhinged can I make this?!” So, for CA, I was like, let’s go all out with the psycho expressions XD
As for whether they’ll experience the same expression change as Adonis… well, that’s a bit of a spoiler hehe! But I will say, Sev will definitely have to get creative if they’re gonna fall for the same tricks again. I’m so curious to hear your thoughts— which pixie do you think will give Sev the highest odds of survival? And how do you think that’s gonna go down? :D

I thought perhaps the violence in the common route was only going to come from Shyloh, since he seems to show complete devotion from the get go.

For the current demo, there are only two common endings! Here’s how to get them:

Choose Option 2 (side with the heroes), and you’ll get another choice within that branch:
If you pick Option 1 (confront the villain) or Option 3 (go ahead on your own), you’ll reach the non-ending ending—meaning the demo ends, but it’s not an actual ending.

Before right now I thought that to get the good ending you just had to constantly be defiant against the pixies during the jumping(so, choose threaten not plead. Try to escape not stay still)But also wow that makes Shyloh look bad ☠️ Sev didn’t make the choices he wanted so now he’s not saving her. Good luck with her torn arm, or that one humiliating thing that’s gonna happen to her. Depends on the endings

But yeah, the choices you mentioned are all for building up points with the pixies! For example, in the scene with Yulen and Merka, picking “Threaten them” vs. “Stay Silent” determines who you gain points with— one choice favors Yulen, the other favors Merka.
Otherwise, Shyloh would be hogging all the point opportunities XD Gotta keep things balanced!

Well respect or not Sev ended up dead boooh. And I think Shyloh’s unwillingness to save her was more than due to respect of her choices. I think deep inside he was wounded by the fact she chose the pixies so he was just like « well then, she will just see for herself ». But that would be too much of an outrage against his object of worship … or maybe he just got a different view of worship than some people ?spoiler tag
For Shyloh, worship isn’t as simple as it seems. It’s this complicated mix of admiration, attachment, and maybe even a bit of resentment, which puts him in this weird space where his feelings start to clash with what he thinks he should do and what he wants to do.
For example, when Sev shows interest in Helios being a pixie, Shyloh offers her his wings, like he’s willing to give her whatever she desires, to show his devotion. But here’s the catch, he leaves the choice completely up to her.
Yet, when she doesn’t immediately choose him, that’s when things get messy. He ends up choking Helios, as if to physically manifest his frustration. It’s like a twisted tug-of-war between his need to respect Sev’s choice and the raw sting of feeling abandoned or rejected.
Oh, extra note: there’s a small dialogue variation depending on whether you choose to confront Shyloh or go solo. It comes up after Kai interrupts the fight, so if you missed it, definitely check it out!
NOW THAT I FINISHED THE GAME NEW VERSION TIME FOR MY THOUGHTS
So wow … you rlly didn’t exaggerate when you said it will feel like a whole new game. It was a real pleasure going through the revamped dialogues. The demo was already great and it got better.
First I’m a big fan of the new parents theme music, those discordant bells really hit the spot. And the new sfx, camera movements, backgrounds etc etc rlly felt like the game became more immersive in a sense. Could almost feel some pain every time Sev got hurt ☠️
The best change for me was probably Kai vs Helios. The passive aggression … chiefs kiss. In a sense it hurts more than when Helios was more outwardly aggressive.
Also what’s up with Adonis face ? Damn hallucinations … On an another note I really liked the inclusion of that ugly face. Really inspiring
YAAAY, I’m so happy you enjoyed the changes, Jasmine! It seriously means so much coming from you! I kept thinking to myself, “Jasmine already liked the demo so much, how do I make it even better?” The bar was set pretty high, but I’m so relieved we managed to jump over it successfully! (灬^‿^灬)♡
Going through the script again and redoing the parts that fans mentioned needed more work really paid off! The programming (not gonna lie, the pixie entry scene took me a whole day to get just right, haha) made me realize just how much room there is for improvement (just like with any project, right? ;)
For the full release, I think I’ll probably be handling the programming myself since I’m not sure I can fully trust anyone else with it just yet ;;
And oh my gosh, Kai and Helios totally got the “glow-up” they deserved! (｡♥‿♥｡) I just had to make Helios more likable, hehe. I’m a total sucker for him (writer’s bias for sure). Did you notice how much screentime he got? XD

I was definitely feeling a bit insecure about whether people would be looking forward to this patch (so far, in terms of votes/comments, there hasn’t been much of a reaction, which does affect the clickthrough rate of the game T~T), but I’m honestly so relieved to know that it’s a demo I can be proud of now!
Yes I’m so serious the new patch really felt like rediscovering the game for me and I’ll replay of course to see if I missed anything, because God knows I probably missed some things.
It was probably a lot of work for you but you truly did a great job on the programming, as I said the whole gaming experience seems intensified x10. And the group pic was reaaally crisp and neat. Could almost see the pores on their 2D pixel skin. That was a job well done
And omg yesss I noticed the amount of his screentime, definitely satisfied the Helios fan in me. I just cant get enough of his arrogant attitude. And the passive aggressiveness only intensified the sentiment of superiority that oozes of him.

I cannot BELIEVE how you were able to compile all of the feedback you received from your fans and implement it all in a way that was SO seamless! You somehow managed to make all of the necessary changes concisely and thoughtfully without compromising any part of the game; from its unique atmosphere to its intriguing characters. You also added some much needed clarity to several story elements of the game while still maintaining its mysteries. I'm even more invested now than I was before and I simply cannot wait to see what comes next!!!

There was SO much rearranging, keeping the OG code in mind, and making sure it didn’t mess up the storyline or choices— basically a million little things to juggle! But reading your comment just made all that effort feel worth it.
And AHHH, it’s so amazing to see one of the OG feedback givers here! You were one of the first to comment post-patch, and honestly, I was SUPER nervous that I didn’t hit the mark since I hadn’t heard from the others (still haven't T~T).

For Adonis’s new look, we actually planned this during the demo release! But… well, the programmers (the ones who aren’t with the team anymore) never got around to implementing it. So I figured I’d add it this time! Esp since it’s significant who gets the psycho expressions and who doesn’t lol
As for new patch content, I really wanted to add the rest of the prologue (it’s chilling in my Google Doc at around 25-30k words rn) But I wasn’t sure if people would even be interested.
Ok ok okkkk. So you’re telling me some pixies would get the crazy expressions and some wouldn’t. Is the selection based on power abilities or personality ? I mean, Adonis’ powers deal with hallucinations sooo all that distortion makes sense

Without spoiling too much, the psycho expressions are meant to reflect the restraint they have over the negative essence, the Naomidi. This will be explored more in the full release— what it means to the pixies, how it affects them, and what they’re doing to fight against it. The rest is for you to theorize! (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و
As for extra content in the patch, I wasn’t sure if I should add more since I wanted to gauge the reaction to the patch first. Just general game dev worries, haha. (￣▽￣*) But this was also a way for me to see if I’m heading in the right direction with coding the script myself!

FWIW, Best advice I ever got was that no matter how long your to-do list looks, you're only working on one at a time. So work on that one thing. Give it your full focus. And when that one is done (or you've done as much as you can for the day), you can work on another "one thing." The goal is to keep your brain in a chilled out mood by refusing to overwhelm it with a bunch of tasks. Like your stomach only gets food one bite at a time, your brain gets shit done one thought at a time and one action at a time. That's been my mantra for the last few years, especially when life gets overwhelming. "Just one thing, just this one thing." That approach has made a huge difference in lowering my stress. Maybe it will help you out, too.

So, for anyone reading this: Chromatic Agape (CA) is currently in its demo stage. The full release is set for 2025, and while the exact date is still TBA, stay tuned for more updates! ^^
I don't usually comment on games but this game has me absolutely enchanted.
This game is going beautifully. I've fallen in love with the plot and the characters. I love the diversity and uniqueness of each character, the character customization, and the trigger settings.
Anyways, going to try out every option known to man now, wouldn't want to miss anything.
